Scarlett is....

HEAD DOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today we had our sonogram I just knew they were going to confirm she was still breech (was as of last week) and the moment she put the ultrasound to my lower belly and I saw head I said "is that head?!?!?!" ... which of course I knew it was but was in complete shock =)

So I am not sure what actually got her to flip (prayer, the breech tilts, cold/warm packs, music, flashlights, or the chiropractor) but she did and that is all that matters!!!!!

She had great breathing movements (they practice breathing even before delivery). She is measuring 6# 12oz today and her head circumference was 37-38 weeks (I'm 35.4 weeks). Reese only weighed 6.10 at delivery and Emma weighed 7.0 at delivery. So if this sono is even close to being accurate...Scarlett will be our biggest baby! Her 2 vessel cord is not slowing her down one bit!!! I don't even have to go back to the perinatologist anymore!

Our prayers have been answered!!

We got approved!

Since our last appointment with the hematologist for our girls we have been waiting on approval to have Scarlett's cord blood banked for FREE for 5 years in case we need it due to Reese's IgA deficiency (and possibly Emma....labs pending). It is called  The Sibling Connection program through ViaCord which was suggested by the hematologist. Our cord blood banking kit should arrive tomorrow, which I will take to with me for delivery. An extra vial of blood will be taken from me prior to delivery and once Scarlett is born blood will be collected from her umbilical vein and sent off for processing and storage.

Toddler Apron

I think I am in love!!

The girls got invited to a 3rd birthday party with an "art theme" and I had the idea to attempt a toddler apron. Although this doesn't have any pockets it will look so cute on a little girl helping in the kitchen or doing art!!

I am shocked I actually pulled this off and want to make some for my girls now :)

35/35!!!

I can't believe it...I'm 35 weeks and only 35 days (or less) to go!! I still feel good but am not sleeping well. I get up between 2-5 times a night due to heartburn, being uncomfortable, arms going numb, etc.

I have been doing all I can to help get Scarlett to flip to the head down (vertex) position. Last week my OB felt on my abdomen and said she was still breech. Since then I have been doing breech tilts every night for about 20 minutes. Cody took 2 legs off the coffee table so I could have a supportive incline to lay on. I also place an ice pack (in my case frozen veggies) at the top of my stomach and a warm compress at the bottom of my stomach to get her to turn (babies move away from cold and toward warmth). I am sure this is a site to see so I tried to take a picture of myself with my phone:

Apparently, a coffee table with only 2 legs has become a form of entertainment for the whole family...

I wonder where they get it from....

(don't kill me Cody for posting this...but it is TOO funny!)

34.2 Week Appointment

This morning was my routine OB appointment. I gained 1# since my last visit 2 weeks ago which he seemed happy about. My B/P was 106/70. He measured my stomach and said she is a "grower"... he thinks she will be a big one! I asked him to fell on my stomach to see if she was head down yet and nope...she is still breech. I have made an appointment for next Monday for a Webster technique certified chiropractor to help realign my hips to help get her to flip. I have a sono next Wednesday and I PRAYING that she is head down by then! I go back to my OB in 2 weeks, then it will be weekly till I deliver.

Scarlett's Red & Ivory Nursery

I have a new favorite room of the house!
Although most wouldn't choose to do a red nursery we decided to be brave since we already have two pink little girl's rooms :) I have to admit I got a bit discouraged being able to find everything and matching reds is nearly impossible to do but we LOVE it!!

(some of these photos were taken at different times of the day which explains the different lighting)

All we need is Scarlett!!!

34 Weeks!!

I am so glad to have hit the 34 week mark yesterday!! I feel like Scarlett is past all the major developmental milestones at this point. All she has left to do is gain weight and continue letting her lungs mature. In just 3 weeks she will be full term already!! The belly button has popped out (which never happened with the girls)...this turkey is done!! Hehe ;)

I see my OB tomorrow for a check up and next week I have another sono...I'm anxious to know if she is head down yet. She has been moving like crazy and I have consistently been feeling kicks up in my ribs...even while being breech.

We have also finished her nursery and I think it's my new favorite room of the house! I will do a separate post with a compilation of all the photos from her room :)

Happy Holidays 2011

We recently did a holiday mini session with Beth at Tip Toe Photography and although it's hard to get 2 toddlers to smile in a timed session, we are in love with the last photo!

Scarlett's Nursery is "almost" done!

I just finished making Scarlett this name plaque and am VERY proud of how it turned out! It took me awhile to decide how I wanted to display her name in her nursery (both Reese & Emma have hanging name letters). After seeing some inspiration on Etsy I decided to brave this project myself. I'd like to say thank you to Cody for supporting me in my random craft projects!

(Thank you Ashley, Kasi & Amanda for your opinions during this process)

Another addition...

We found the PERFECT little table at Home Goods recently. The legs actually match the chairs we just got which is so random coming from two completely different stores. This will be her little beauty table! Reese already loves coming in here and looking at herself in this little mirror.

I have one more...ok maybe two...projects left and then her room is DONE! I'm working on something over her crib that is 98% done and then I need to make some tiebacks for her curtains.

33 Weeks!

Only 7 weeks to go!
I can't believe we are on the home stretch to having 3 little girls! The holidays are fast approaching and it only makes the time go by that much faster  :) We have started decorating for Christmas and have done a little shopping already to try and be ready since she could arrive at any time (hopefully in December)!

She's the size of a honeydew melon!

Overall, I am feeling good. I have started having some lower back pain and toss and turn a lot at night. I am still able to chase around the girls though :) Scarlett's room is almost complete. I have 2 last crafts that I am working on and hope to have done soon!

Our Outlet Find!

We went to the San Marcos Outlets today and I am so thrilled with our findings!! They were listed at the outlet price + an extra 20% off AND they were in perfect condition (which is not always the case with outlet furniture).

Restoration Hardware Baby: Mini French Salon Chair

...and Mini Vintage French Chair

These are child size chairs but work perfect for the space and I fit just fine in the salon chair for nursing, reading books or snuggling :)
