Sprinkles the Elf: Day 5

Yesterday I did a lot of gift wrapping so that the girls wouldn't see their presents that were piling up. I guess that didn't prevent someone from sneaking a peek...

No peeking Sprinkles!!!

The girls actually had a tough time finding her this time and walked right past her at least 5 times. After a little direction she was spotted!

Scarlett Kate is 11 Months Old!!!

I feel terrible because somehow the 27th got away from me and I'm late taking pictures and updating the blog. These pictures are not the best because I was trying to hurry after dinner and she wanted to nurse.

I'm done!

Nursing: I have made it 11 months of breastfeeding!! I can't believe it and am very proud. I am both very excited to be done next month but also saddened that those special moments will be no longer. She does NOT take a paci and I wonder how I will be able to soothe her after she is weaned.

Eating: She eats everything! Scarlett gets the same meals we do and she eats it all!! She loves meat and even cleared her serving of pulled pork before her two older sisters!

Teething: She has finally cut one of the two bottom molars that have been moving so slow! Hence, the constant finger in the side of her mouth. So she is up to 9 teeth with the 10th (molar) coming very soon.

Mobility: She pulls up on everything so easily now! She is transferring between objects of furniture as long as she can hold onto something while doing it. I try and get her to let go and walk to me and she gives me this look like she's thinking about it but I must be crazy! She is starting to walk well if you hold her hand.

Sleep: YIKES!! Maybe one day I will get to sleep through the night but it hasn't happened but a few times. I am still dream feeding her before I go to bed and having to wake up to nurse her btwn 2:30-5am.

Communication: She can sign "all done", "bye bye", "milk", & say "mama", "dada", "bye bye" and we are still working on the signs "more" and "eat".

Growth: She seems HUGE to us compared to our other girls. She is wearing size 18mo but I don't hesitate buying 2T shirts! All her 12mo clothes are too tight/short.

Personality: She has the BEST personality!! Scarlett is so relaxed and laid back. She goes with the flow and can easily alter her nap times based on what is happening. We are trying to give her only one nap a day now since she is transitioning out of the nursery in just a few short weeks. She is always smiling, talking, playing, and she gives the best hugs!!!

Planning is underway for her Winter ONEderland party!

Sprinkles the Elf: Day 3

Sprinkles must be working her magic because the girls have been on their best behavior! When I picked Reese up from school yesterday her teacher took the time to tell me Reese had a "great day, ate her lunch, listened, was the best at coloring and got a super star sticker on the board"! Emma & Scarlett also ate there lunches (not surprising) and had a great day!

All I heard on the way home was "Mommy, Sprinkles hung her own stocking from Santa! Let me show you Mommy!"

Last night I asked Reese, "Where do you think Sprinkles will land tomorrow morning?" She said "I think somewhere high so Emma can't touch her." What a big sister she is worrying about Emma touching Sprinkles and making her lose her magic! I have to give Emma praise though for she has followed the "no touch" rule perfectly!

Guess where Sprinkles landed this morning?!
(I was able to snap this pic very late last night before I went to bed)

Zip Line

Right before the girls got up

The girls immediately went looking at her old hiding spot (watch Emma as she finds her!)...

Sprinkles the Elf: Day 2

Last night Sprinkles flew to the North Pole and told Santa that the girls ate all their dinner and that they were very sweet to each other! This morning Sprinkles brought her own stocking from the North Pole made by Mrs. Claus herself!!

The stockings were hung by the chimney with care

Sprinkles the Elf: Day 1

Last night Sprinkles got out of her box and flew to the North Pole to tell Santa that the girls named her "Sprinkles" and that Reese, Emma, & Scarlett ate all their dinner! She flew back to our home and landed next to the tree and Santa pictures bearing gifts!!!

They were very careful not to touch her

I LOVE all this Christmas spirit!!!

Toddler Friendly Thanksgiving Treat For Daycare

I love being able to have the girls take little holiday treats to their friends at daycare! Tomorrow is their Thanksgiving Feast since some will be missing next week due to the actual holiday.

Cornucopias

Original idea with printable tags here.

There are 24 friends total so I bought 4 movie theater boxes of Runts for $0.97ea (buy 3 get 1 free) at HEB. I was able to make 1 box spread between 6 snack bags. I did buy 2 (7.5oz) bags of Bugles but only used one.

P.S. And for anyone as "sheltered" as myself the Bugles are on the chip isle... NOT the cereal isle (which I walked 3x).

Happy Copying!!!
