Bye-Bye Tiny Tots :'(

Yesterday, Reese and I were very sad to have to say goodbye to Tiny Tots and Mrs. Amy, where she had been going since she was 5 months old. I was very emotional having to remove Reese from the daycare she loved so much! Here are a few picts of Reese telling Mrs. Amy bye and giving her a hug:

On a happier note (which helped me cope with my raging hormones from telling a dear friend goodbye), my sister and Victor got a new puppy. His name is Kieser (spelling has yet to be determined by his parents...lol). Reese absolultely LOVED the puppy and she even gave him a hug:

12 Weeks...aka: 3 Months!!!

Today we had our 12 week nuchal transluecency sono to measure the development of the skin fold on the back of the neck and it was a perfect measurement! I also had genetic screening bloodwork done, but it will all be fine with the great nuchal tube measurement ;) The baby bounced up and down a little bit for us :o) It's time to start guessing gender, so I will put a gender poll up on here for you to vote ;)

12 WEEKS:
Your baby's crown-to-rump length is almost 2.5 inches and she now weighs between 8 and 14 grams! In just three weeks, your baby's size has more than doubled and begins to look a lot more human. Even though you won't be able to feel your baby moving at this time, you can stimulate him and he will squint, open his mouth and move his fingers or toes. Your baby develops reflexes and the skin is very sensitive.

The brain is fully formed, and the child can feel pain. the baby may even suck his thumb. The eyelids now cover the eyes, and will remain shut until the seventh month to protect the delicate optical nerve fibers.

REESE:
Reese is doing great! No new picts just yet. Her hair is starting to grown finally!! She is starting to get very inquisitive...always pointing at stuff wanting to know what it is. She loves playing with the dogs outside now that it is pretty these days. She is funny about the grass though. When she falls down she doesn't like to touch it so she will pick up her hands really quickly and kind of "wimper" until she stands back up.

We are very anxious to move!! Monday is the official day =)

11 Weeks!

Today I am 11 weeks! Almost done with the 1st trimester already =) Still feeling great with no symptoms at all.

Our baby continues to grow and is now approximately the size of a large lime! The crown-to-rump length of our developing child is 1.75 to 2.4 inches. The weight of the fetus is approximately 8 grams at this point. The growth of our baby is phenomenal now and your baby's length will double in the next three weeks. The head is grossly out of proportion and is almost half of the baby's length.

Our baby's fingernails appear this week! External genitalia are beginning to show distinguishing features and the development of male or female will be complete in three weeks. The placenta's blood vessels increase to provideyour baby with the nutrients and oxygen he needs for continued growth. Our baby's ears are gradually moving from the neck towards the sides of his head. Inside of your baby's abdomen, the intestines are developing. Because the intestines are so large, some of them project into the umbilical cord and they will return to the abdomen within the next week or two.

10 Weeks & 13 Months!

I am 10 weeks today! I had an OB appointment this morning and the fetal heartbeat is still going strong! I go back in 2 weeks for the neural tube sono.

Our baby weighs approximately 5 grams and is the size of a small plum! The baby has grown an incredible amount during these past few weeks. The fingers and toes have separated and the tail has disappeared now. Our baby has taste and tooth buds at this point, which will continue to develop. The brain will continue to grow at an amazing rate and nearly a quarter of a million new neurons are produced every minute! The embryonic heart is completely developed. External genitalia are not apparent until next week, but a male's testes will already be producing testosterone.

Reese is 13 months and doing great!! We are trying to teach her "ABC" and she tries to say it back to me but it is all gibberish. Cody got some cute picts of her this weekend. We took her to the park the other day and she loved swinging with her daddy but hated swinging by herself in the infant swing.
Her newest "trick"

Reese now knows where her belly button is!!

9 Weeks!

Today I am 9 weeks pregnant with baby #2!! I am feeling great so far with no real symptoms except HUNGER!! I am so much more hungry with this baby than with Reese. And yes- there is only ONE baby in there ;o)

Our baby now is about the size of a medium green olive. Tiny fingers and toes are present. Although the baby is still very small, it is beginning to look more like a human being. Our baby's back is straightening out and the tail is shrinking. In proportion to the rest of its body, the head is large and remains curved forwards onto the chest. The head is erect and the neck is developing well. Even though our baby's eyes are well developed, they are covered by a membrane lid. The eyes will not begin to open and close for quite some time still. Our baby will begin to make tiny movements as the muscles start to develop.

Reese is doing great!! She loves it when I chase her around the house saying "I'm going to get you!" She gets so tickled and hysterical with this that she gets clumsy when trying to run away from me!! I really need to get this on video because it cracks Cody and I up!!

We are counting down the days until the big move to San Antonio!! Cody's rotations end March 26th and my last weekend to work will be March 27/28th. The 29th we will start loading up a uhaul!!! We can't wait!!
