Ashley & Victor Engagement

A few days ago Ashley& Victor came to visit and we thought we would try taking some engagement pictures. I tried to capture their more vintage/retro style to bring out their personalities. I am no professional but I think they turned out stink'n cute! On their next visit we will try getting a few more pictures :)

1st Zoo Trip of 2012

On Sunday we gave the girls the option of having a picnic at the park or going to the zoo and of course they picked the zoo!!! Reese was funny this time because she was practically running from one animal cage to another. She looked at an animal for 5 seconds before saying "come on! let's go see something else!" We had to pace her or we would have been done with the whole zoo in 10 minutes!

Two little girls excited to see some monkeys!

Scarlett's 1st Zoo Adventure

Emma LOVED this!

Feeding the ducks

We took a break at the Tot Spot & Reese didn't hesitate touching a LIVE snake!

1st Time we've seen pigs in the petting zoo!

After 2 laps we FINALLY got to see the zebras! Their cage was being cleaned on our 1st pass and Reese was SO upset they weren't in there. THANK GOODNESS we got to see them before we left!

My Mom & Mother-in-law

Teresa & her mom, Connie

Paige and her mom, Kini

Kini is Emma's teacher and her "2nd mom" as I like to call her :)
Just felt right having her celebrate with us!

She made me a beautiful Mother's Day banner of everything I love!

"Being a family means you are part of something very wonderful. It means you will love and be loved for the rest of your life no matter what."

This morning I woke up to 3 sweet little girls and a loving husband all bearing cards for me!!! I was then given the most wonderful gifts!

Baking goodies and GORGEOUS flowers!!!!! The carriers each have several pans inside!

This basket is LOADED with 2 boxes of cake mix, 2 boxes of brownies, 2 cookie mixes, 2 tubs of frosting, 2 pkgs of designer cupcake liners, and a jar of sprinkles!

The girls made me flower pots at school!

A Mother's Prayer
Author Unknown

Dear Lord, it's such a hectic day,
With little time to stop and pray,
For life's been anything but calm,
Since you called on me to be a mom.

Running errands, matching socks,
Building dreams with building blocks.
Cooking, cleaning, finding shoes,
And other stuff that children lose.

Fitting lids on bottled bugs,
Wiping tears and giving hugs.
A stack of last weeks mail to read,
So where's the quiet time I need?

Yet when I steal a minute Lord,
Just at the sink or ironing board,
To ask the blessings of your grace,
I see then in my small one's face,

That you have blessed me all the while,
As I stop to kiss that precious smile.

Thank you girls for teaching me the joys of motherhood, baking, crafting, sewing, artwork and most importantly how to love with my whole heart!

Scarlett's 4 Month Stats!

I am so proud to finally have a little chunky monkey!!!

Weight: 15# 3oz (79%)
Length: 25 in (74%)
Head Circumference: 42.6 (84%)

Her Sisters' 4 Month Stats for Comparison:
Reese weighed 13# 5oz and 24.5in
Emma weighed 13# 8oz (48%) and 25.3in (84%)

Scarlett got 2 shots and an oral vaccine and only cried for about 5 seconds and was fine once I picked her up! The pediatrician said she has two bottom teeth that are coming soon! They were impressed she has already been rolling over both ways!

She's wearing 6mo clothes and even some 9mo pajamas!! Cody and I think she will be sitting up soon because she has such strong abdominal muscles from all the "crunches" she's been doing!
