39 Weeks!!!!!!!!

I'm 39 weeks and can't believe it!!! 

Scarlett has been teasing us for the past week. We have almost headed to the hospital twice now with contractions but I kept managing to sleep them off. Reese has stuck to her story that Scarlett isn't coming until AFTER Santa comes. Cody has guessed she's coming on Christmas day. At this point, I hope she hangs on through the holiday weekend. We shall see...

Gift Card: Snow Globe

I am not a fan of gifting gift cards but I love this new way of wrapping them for the holidays!

All you need is:

a gift card (must be plastic)

hot glue gun

mason jar

water

glitter

a few small ornaments & ribbon

I simply hot glued the edge of the gift card the mason jar lid, sprinkled some glitter into the jar, added the ornaments and filled with water.

Letter To Santa, 2011

This isn't the best photo of the girls' letter to Santa but I wanted to post it! Reese wrote down what her and Emma would like this year and then I helped translate ;)

Gingerbread House In The Making....

38.2 Week Appt

I am pleased with today's OB appointment. I am glad to know that all of the contractions I was having Thurs and Friday actually helped me progress!

Dilation: 3cm!!!

Effacement: 50% (was 0% last week)

Total weight gain: 35# (no weight gain from last week...woohoo!)

*I was 2cm/50% effaced at this point with Emma

He said I have a 50/50 chance of having her on my own THIS week that my body seems like it is ready to go. If I make it through Christmas, induction has been scheduled for Tuesday 12/27! 

We can't wait to meet you Scarlett!!!!!!!

38 Weeks!!

I wasn't sure if I was going to make it till today the way I was feeling last night but I am now 38 weeks! I started contracting Thursday night but was able to sleep them off. I had contractions off and on throughout the day yesterday and was really hurting last night. The pains were all in my back which is something I haven't experienced with the girls. I even took a warm bath to relieve the discomfort. Today I am VERY sore and feel like I've been kicked by a horse. I don't think it will be long now before my body decides to just kick into active labor. 

Any guesses on her birthday and her weight?!?!?

37.2 Week Appt

I saw my OB today for a regular weekly appointment and my PIH blood work came back normal! The 24hr urine is still pending and he will call if it is abnormal (but it's most likely fine). We do not know the source of my 3 day killer headache but it seems like the spike in blood pressure that day was from the pain. 

Total weight gain: 35#

Dilation: 2cm!!!

Presenting part: HEAD!

I'm not effaced yet but he said I am "super soft" and it won't take much and I'll thin right out (i.e., efface). If I make it to 39 weeks, we will discuss induction since I will be very favorable at that point.

Come on Scarlett... Santa wants to see you!!
