16 Weeks!!

Woohoo!!! I am now 16 weeks and we get to "attempt" to find out the gender tomorrow!!! Will it be a boy or a gril?!?!?! I am feeling great! I started feeling the baby move this past week. Last night I got 2 quick kicks in a row, I tried letting Cody feel but that was all the gymnastics the baby was willing to do that night.

During Week 16: The baby is now 3-5 ounces in weight and about 5 inches long. The eyes are finally working, making small side-to-side movements and can even perceive some light through the eyelids that are still sealed shut. They baby is becoming more sensitve to touch and will squirm away when I poke on my belly :o) The taste buds are forming and little bones in the ear are forming. The baby may now be able to pick up on my voice!

15 Weeks!!

We are moving right along :o) I am not longer sick, which is great! I still haven't gained any weight. I am sure I will start gaining soon. We might be able to find out the gender of the baby on Friday, but the final arrangements aren't set yet and it may still be too early to tell.

We also got a new computer that we are very excited about. It is a media computer so it will be able to support all the photos and videos we plan on taking of our little one!

During Week 15: The baby is now 4 1/2 inches long and the size of a naval orange!! By now the baby has coordination, strength, and smarts to wiggle his/her little fingers and toes and even suck a thumb! The baby can also breathe (or at least make breathing movements), suck, and swallow- all in preparation for the big debut.

14 Weeks!!

I am now 3 1/2 months pregnant! Time is really flying by!! I am no longer nauseated, which is great. I can't wait to start feeling the baby move! I have been feeling little "pokes" but I am not sure if it is the baby or not.

During Week 14: The baby is now about 4 inches long, the size of a large lemon or your clenched fist. The neck is starting to straighten out and the head is getting more erect. The body is starting to get covered in lanugo (body hair that isn't permanent) to keep the baby warm. Eyebrow hair is filling in now and on top of the cute little head might actually be some hair sprouts!!!

13 Weeks!

I am officially in the 2nd trimester starting today!!! I am so thrilled be through the 1st trimester. Now for the fun milestones: a growing belly, feeling the baby move and finding out the gender!!! I feel great now! No more nausea (although my toothbrush did gag me this morning)!

Yesterday I bought my 1st pair of maternity jeans and shorts :o) Cody also found the perfect "daddy diaper bag" for himself while we were shopping!

13 week belly (definately bigger than at 8 weeks):

During Week 13: The baby is now the size of a peach! The vocal cords are forming (perfect for crying of course) and the intestines are now moving from the umbilical cord to the abdomen. The baby is practicing smiling, grimacing and squinting!!

NT Sono @ 12.3 Weeks

Yesterday Cody & I went to the OB for my 12 week NT Sono to rule out any genetic disorders. The neck measurements were perfect! We have to wait about a week for the bloodwork results. I still haven't gained any weight. The baby's heart rate was 150 beats per minute! It was so neat being able to see the baby move around!!! It seems so real to us now :o) The baby is approx. 3 inches, the size of a prune. Our next appointment is at 16 weeks.
Enjoy the videos Cody took of the baby!!!!
