34 Weeks!!
I am officially 8 1/2 months today!! I am really starting to feel like the end is near :o) Today we had the maternity pictures taken and we are anxious to see the proofs :o) Tomorrow is our OB appointment.
During Week 34: Reese should be weighing almost 5 pounds by now!! Her fingernails are now as long or longer than her fingertips, so she may be able to scratch herself. Her kidneys are fully developed and her liver is almost finshed :o)

Christmas Belly @ 33 Weeks!!
Only 4 more weeks until full term and only 7 more weeks until she is due!!! Reese is still highly active and likes to dig her feet into my ribs :o)
During Week 33: She is gaining about a half a pound a week now and measuring about 4 1/2 pounds!! My amniotic fluid level has maxed out now, which means less cushion for her kicks and pokes ;o) Antiobodies are being formed as she continues to develop her own immune system.

32 Weeks!!
I can't believe I am 8 months pregnant today!!! I have been feeling great! I can tell Reese is running out of room because I have a pair of feet in my rib cage!! It is so funny to feel her get the hiccups :o) I have an appointment this Thursday for a check up. Only 5 more weeks until she is full term and 8 weeks until she is due!!
During Week 32: Reese is now almost 4 pounds and 19 inches long! In these last few weeks, it is all about practice...swallowing, beathing, sucking and kicking. Her skin is no longer see-through...it is finally opaque!!

31 Weeks!!
Only 9 Weeks to go now :o) I am feeling great and everything is going as well as can be! I am starting to have slight swelling in my legs...yuck! We are starting to get very anxious :o) Only 6 weeks until she is full term!!
During Week 31: She is now 3+ pounds and approximately 18 inches long. Her brain connections are developing rapidly (she has to make a trillion of them). She is perceiving signals from all 5 senses, processing information, and tracking light. She is also a sleepy baby, spending more time snoozing in the REM cycle.

30 Weeks!!
I can't believe I am in the 30's now!! In just 7 weeks I will be full term, wow!!! Reese has really been active these last couple of days. She has been busy kicking, hitting and kneeing me all over :o) I have been feeling much better this last week.
During Week 30: She is now at least 3 pounds and 17 inches long. Fat deposits are developing, which is causing her skin to turn from red to pink. This week her brain is developing, creating all those grooves and indentations. Her brain has now started taking over her temperature regulation. She will now be shedding the lanugo (the downy, soft body hair) that has been keeping her warm. Apparently, I should now start gaining a pound a week!!

29 Weeks!!
Wow...only 11 Weeks to go until little Reese is due! My OB appt on Friday went well. I have gained 15 pounds so far. Reese was measuring 2 pounds 11 ounces then. She was already practicing her breathing movements, so neat to see!! She was still head down and she better stay that way :o)
During Week 29: She can be as tall as 17 inches long already and is within about 3 inches of her ultimate birth length. She is almost 3 pounds by now. Over the next 11 weeks she will more than double, maybe even triple, her weight.

28 Weeks!!
I am officially 7 months pregnant today!!! This last week was pretty rough since I had a horrible viral infection that I am still recovering from. Reese is doing great and she is starting to move around a lot more :o)
During Week 28: Reese may be almost 16 inches long and weighs about 2 1/2 pounds! Her skill of the week: blinking!! She is now getting REM sleep, so dream away little girl!!!

4D Sono Attempt
Yesterday we went to attempt a 4D sono on little miss Reese. However, she was uncooporative because she had her face all smooshed up against my uterine wall and also had a hand right up in her face! She looked great and is measuring 2 pounds 6 ounces!! We were thrilled to be able to have her sex confirmed as well! There is no doubt that she is a girl! We decided to order the stroller yesterday :o)

27 Weeks!!
Hello 3rd Trimester!!! I am so excited to have made it to this milestone in my pregnancy!! I have been feeling great and the nursery is looking beautiful :o) We went to San Marcos this weekend and found a bunch of baby clothes at the outlet stores!!! I am so ready for her to be here already and I know the rest of the time will fly by!
During Week 27: Reese should be measuring about 15 inches in length and weighs just over 2 pounds!! She has more taste buds than she will have at birth and beyond. So she may get the hiccups when I eat spicy foods or even start kicking :O)

OB Appt
My Ob appt went great! I PASSED my glucose tolerance test...yeah!!! My cervix was still thick and no more funneling!! They didn't sono the baby this time, but she could tell from doing the sono on my cervix that she was head down now :o) I have gained at total of 11 pounds and I go back in 2 Weeks.
The nursery is now painted!!! Check out the pictures:

25 Weeks!
Woohoo!! Another week down, only 15 more to go! I have gained a total of 9 pounds so far. I have come to realize that Reese LOVES it when I eat ice cream :o) It always makes her start kicking me!! I am trying to take it more easy now. I have a follow up appt. on Monday with a repeat sono. The painter is coming on Wednesday to paint the nursery and we are thrilled!!
We have also been informed that not is only is Reese a family name, but so is Addison!! Addison is a family name on my side. It was my great-great grandfather's middle name :o) We are thrilled to have chosen a name that has family ties on both sides!!

During Week 25: Reese is now more than 1 1/2 pounds in weight! Capillaries are forming under her skin and filling with blood. By the end of this week, air sacs lined with capillaries will develop in her lungs, getting them ready for her 1st breath. Her vocal cords are functioning now, leading to occasional hiccups (which I may start to feel)!

OB Appt & Sono
I had my OB appt and sono today. I found out my cervical length is fine, but I am having some funneling (where the water bag starts "funneling" through the cervical opening). This has now put me at risk for preterm labor. I go back in 2 weeks for another sono to determine if my cervix is shortening due to this. If so, I will be on bedrest...yuck! Please pray that our little peanut will stay in there as long as possible and keep growing!! She was measuring 25 weeks today :o)

24 Weeks!!!!
Finally!!!! We have reached the point of viability :o) I can't believe I am 6 months pregnant already. It has flown by and I am sure the holidays will make it go by even faster!! Reese is moving a lot now, giving stronger kicks each day :o) I have a sono this Friday, so I am excited to get some new picts of her.

OB Appt
I had my OB appt. today. Everything went great. I will go back next Friday for a sono and will do my glucose screening then. I have only gained 7 pounds so far, which I can't believe!!! Reese's hearbeat sounded great on the doppler :o)

Nursery Sketch
Here is the sketch of the nursery design the painter will be doing!!! It is a view into the room from the doorway (3 surrounding walls) and the gap on the back wall is the window. I think it will go perfect with the bedding!!! Sorry the pict. is so small. It is a painted chair rail and a twiggy tree with big blue and pink balls like the bedding.

23 Weeks!!!
Holy baby belly!! I am officially showing and I LOVE it!!! I feel her kick me several times a day now and it is awesome!! I giggle every time :o) I have an OB appt on Friday and I am having my glucose screening at that time, so cross your fingers I pass it!!!

22 Weeks!!
Woohoo!! I am now 5 1/2 months and feeling great! We are having a painter come over today to give us ideas on the nursery :o) I have finally started feeling some strong kicks from her and Cody can feel them now too!! She loves to kick me at night....hehe! I can't wait to be past the 24 week mark so my anxiety will subside :o)
During Week 22: Baby Reese now weighs a whopping 1 pound and is about 8 inches long!! She is now the size of a small doll. Her lungs are developing. She is developing senses, including touch, sight, hearing, and taste. She may grab onto her umbilical cord (there's not much else to grab onto in there) and practice the strong grip that will soon be clutching our fingers. The uterus is dark and even with fused eyelids she can perceive light and dark. She can now hear the sound of mine and Cody's voice, the dogs barking, my heartbeat, etc. She can taste everything I eat as well :o)

21 Weeks!!
We are starting to make a lot of progress on little Reese's nursery!! We have the furniture set up and we received the baby bedding just this week!! We are anxious to start painting her room very soon! Here are some picts of the furniture and bedding:
During Week 21: Reese is now as long as a large banana (about 7-10.5 inches long) and approximately 11 ounces in weight. She is now swallowing amniotic fluid everyday for nutrition and hydration and can even taste the foods I have eaten. That is because amniotic fluid differs from day to day depending on what I have eaten :o) Her arms and legs are finally in proportion, neurons are now connected between the brain and muscles, and cartilage throughout the body is turning into bone. This means her kicks will be much more coordinated :o)

OB Appt
I had my Ob appointment today and I have only gained 5 pounds total. I am shocked to have made it this far with only a 5 pound weight gain!!! The doctor said it is really good. Reese's heartbeat was strong on the doppler :o) I go back in a month for another check up and will have my glucose tolerance test then. Hopefully my body can tolerate all these sweets I have been craving!!!!

20 Weeks!!!
Holy Cow!! I am officially at the half way point in my pregnancy, only 20 more weeks to go!! I am still feeling great!! I have an OB appt. tomorrow for a check up, I am eager to see how much weight I have gained. I am starting to feel her move around a little more now, she likes to kick me when I lay down to sleep :o) We are so excited to have the nursery furniture in the room and assembled!!! It looks beautiful! All we need now is baby Reese ;o)
During Week 20: Reese is now the size of a small cantelope. She is approx. 10 ounces and about 6 1/2-10 inches long. Her uterus is fully formed and her ovaries are holding about 7 million primitive eggs. She has plenty of room for twisting, turning, kicking, punching, and even a somersault!
My Birthday present from Cody was a wonderful diaper bag!!!

19 Weeks!!
I can't believe I am already 19 weeks!! Only 21 more weeks to go!!!! My belly is about to really start growing this next month :o) We were supposed to pick up the baby furniture this weekend in Houston, but I don't know if we can due to hurricaine Ike. I will call tomorrow to find out. This week Cody and I are turning the big 26!!!
During Week 19: Reese is now measuring 6 inches long and weighs about half a pound! She is the size of a large mango :o) She is covered with cheesy vernix, a greasy white ptotective substance that protects her skin from the amniotic fluid. Without the protection, she'd look very wrinkled at birth ;)

17 Weeks!!
We are now onto week 17 already! I think I am finally starting to show and I can't wait for my belly to "pop" out! I have only gained 1 pound back from the 1.5 that I lost, so I am still where I started pre-pregnancy in weight. Cody got to feel baby Reese move for the 1st time last night, what a moment!!!
We are still trying to decide on a middle name, so please vote on the link that is at the top right of this page :o) If you have other suggestions, we are definately open to them!
During Week 17: She is now 5 to 5.5 inches long and about 5 oz., about the size of your palm or an onion! Body fat is begining to form and the skin is still transparent. This week she will be practicing swallowing and sucking. Her heart rate is now regulated by her brain instead of the spontaneous beats.
