25 Weeks!

Woohoo!! Another week down, only 15 more to go! I have gained a total of 9 pounds so far. I have come to realize that Reese LOVES it when I eat ice cream :o) It always makes her start kicking me!! I am trying to take it more easy now. I have a follow up appt. on Monday with a repeat sono. The painter is coming on Wednesday to paint the nursery and we are thrilled!!

We have also been informed that not is only is Reese a family name, but so is Addison!! Addison is a family name on my side. It was my great-great grandfather's middle name :o) We are thrilled to have chosen a name that has family ties on both sides!!

During Week 25: Reese is now more than 1 1/2 pounds in weight! Capillaries are forming under her skin and filling with blood. By the end of this week, air sacs lined with capillaries will develop in her lungs, getting them ready for her 1st breath. Her vocal cords are functioning now, leading to occasional hiccups (which I may start to feel)!

OB Appt & Sono

I had my OB appt and sono today. I found out my cervical length is fine, but I am having some funneling (where the water bag starts "funneling" through the cervical opening). This has now put me at risk for preterm labor. I go back in 2 weeks for another sono to determine if my cervix is shortening due to this. If so, I will be on bedrest...yuck! Please pray that our little peanut will stay in there as long as possible and keep growing!! She was measuring 25 weeks today :o)

24 Weeks!!!!

Finally!!!! We have reached the point of viability :o) I can't believe I am 6 months pregnant already. It has flown by and I am sure the holidays will make it go by even faster!! Reese is moving a lot now, giving stronger kicks each day :o) I have a sono this Friday, so I am excited to get some new picts of her.

During Week 24: Reese is now about 1 1/2 pounds and about 8 1/2 inches long. Her weight gain is now about 6 ounces a week! She is accumulating baby fat, growing organs, bones, and muscle. She has a full set of eyelashes and eyebrows too!!!

I had my OB appt. today. Everything went great. I will go back next Friday for a sono and will do my glucose screening then. I have only gained 7 pounds so far, which I can't believe!!! Reese's hearbeat sounded great on the doppler :o)

P.S.

Click on the sketch and it will zoom it!!!

Nursery Sketch

Here is the sketch of the nursery design the painter will be doing!!! It is a view into the room from the doorway (3 surrounding walls) and the gap on the back wall is the window. I think it will go perfect with the bedding!!! Sorry the pict. is so small. It is a painted chair rail and a twiggy tree with big blue and pink balls like the bedding.

23 Weeks!!!

Holy baby belly!! I am officially showing and I LOVE it!!! I feel her kick me several times a day now and it is awesome!! I giggle every time :o) I have an OB appt on Friday and I am having my glucose screening at that time, so cross your fingers I pass it!!!

This weekend we painted the baby nursery and we LOVE it!!! It is our little cotton candy room!!

During Week 23: Reese is now a little over a pound!! Begining this week she will be packing on the pounds! Over the next 4 weeks she will double her weight!!! Her body is almost fully formed :o)

22 Weeks!!

Woohoo!! I am now 5 1/2 months and feeling great! We are having a painter come over today to give us ideas on the nursery :o) I have finally started feeling some strong kicks from her and Cody can feel them now too!! She loves to kick me at night....hehe! I can't wait to be past the 24 week mark so my anxiety will subside :o)

During Week 22: Baby Reese now weighs a whopping 1 pound and is about 8 inches long!! She is now the size of a small doll. Her lungs are developing. She is developing senses, including touch, sight, hearing, and taste. She may grab onto her umbilical cord (there's not much else to grab onto in there) and practice the strong grip that will soon be clutching our fingers. The uterus is dark and even with fused eyelids she can perceive light and dark. She can now hear the sound of mine and Cody's voice, the dogs barking, my heartbeat, etc. She can taste everything I eat as well :o)
